| Witches' Butter is quite small as single entities, but may form large masses in aggregate. The mounds are 1-4 inches wide and 1-2 inches tall. The firm, jelly-like orange to orange-yellow fungus forms a brain-like shape or may appear in broad folds. Preferred habitat of Witches' Butter is on logs, stumps, and dead branches of broad-leaved trees. |
