Oreta rosea (Wlk) Drepanidae Hodges 6255 Identification (Covell, Moths of Eastern North America, Pg. 343): The color and pattern is variable. All specimens have a hooked apex and post-median line that angles back sharply toward the costa (outer margin) below the apex. Wingspan is 2.8 to 3.4 cm. Flight periods are May to November. Caterpillar host plants are Birch and Viburnum. |
